Please pass links to this post around. :)
I think we all know the situation with the domain name registry here. Looks like it's going to be running out at the end of April / beginning of March, and despite many many repeated efforts, I haven't been able to contact Keith. I've seen him log on to MSN a tonne of times over the past three weeks, and every time I've messaged him, I've had no reply. Make of that what you will.
Meanwhile, Utahcon's looking after EFx2.info, but is hideously busy with his own real life to be doing much there. He also had some trouble adding other people as administrators, so he was the only person able to do anything on there.
I got fed up of not being able to contact people. I got fed up of the situation not being under our control and of this site potentially crashing and burning before our very eyes.
So I decided, with Jaco's help (huge help), to take matters into my own hands.
www.efx3.com
It does run on wordpress, and I know a lot of people aren't comfortable with the control panel there. However, it is the latest release of the WordPress MU software and the control panel is much more user-friendly. That being said, I WILL be making a tutorial for navigating it.
It's a work in progress. It already has customisations that the .info site doesn't have. At this point I should mention that Utahcon knows all about the efx3 site and is all in favour. After all, it'll give him a break. Photostyle is also on the admin team, Psyphen is also hovering around on-hand, and all of the above have admin access. We'll also be downloading a backup of the entire site occasionally (like once a month) and sending it around so that we're not the only people with the database, just in case something goes wrong.
I'm sure you can all see how we already have systems and measures in place that cover efx2.com's failings. Take a look a the site - in particular take a look at what we plan to do there, and what we've already done in the mere week since we installed it.
We're hoping it'll take over from this efx when the inevitable happens - the domain name runs out and we fail miserably in its renewal. Hell, even if it does get renewed, the efx3.com site might end up being more stable and therefore possibly better.
So consider it open for registration. Please, go ahead and make blogs there and watch how quickly we progress with developing it. If you like it, pass the word around. Maybe we can get some of the old fex'ers back in town.

It's a strange form. I don't think it flows very well, but I'm sure if I practice with it I can use the staccato nature form advantageously.
Anyway, here's one. Not sure if it 'works' - the first three stanzas are supposed to be very trite which is hopefully explained / concluded in the last stanza.
Still,
you
think it
would be more
meaningful to say
something from the heart; from inside.
Still,
you
think it
would be more
pertinent to say
words straight from the soul; your own voice.
Still,
you
think it
would be more
kind of you to say
things that have some personal truth?
Still.
You
think you'd
realise;
vapid verbiage
is very tautological.

This guy started the craze of Fib Poetry back in 2006, apparently;
http://gottabook.blogspot.com/2006/0...4/fib.html
I completely missed it.
But today, I found it.
"...a six line, 20 syllable poem with a syllable count by line of 1/1/2/3/5/8 – the classic Fibonacci sequence."
So, here's to Fibetry. Have a go.
Sleep
Came
In fits
And broken
Starts. my eyes burn, tired;
But here I am, writing poems.

Naked MMO-ing FTW!
(Read into that ENTIRELY too much, if you will - you'd probably be on the right track ;) )
((It's so much more fun when the person you're MMO-ing with knows you're a naked girl who is MMO-ing with him...))

I bought a small carton of full cream milk yesterday, brought it in to work, used it once to make one mug of coffee.
Came in this morning and it's OVER HALF GONE. ROAR -.-
We have a shared kitchen and everybody is *supposed to* bring their own stuff in. I know it's only 50p for a small milk but jeeeeez, it's so friggin' annoying to keep finding that someone else is using it. I wouldn't even mind, if only they asked first. And it's the only full cream milk in the fridge so it's not a case of 'mistaken identity'.
So this morning I covered it with my name (which I shouldn't have to do) and stuck a pissy note to it.
Fucking freeloaders.
