Armadillos

Posted in Stuff

Always good to start the day with a bit of dolphin-spotting! I see the firth every morning from the bus on the way to work and usually it's quiet, but this morning there was a dolphin splooshing about. They don't often venture so far up into the firth either - a lucky sighting ^.^

Not to mention seeing a seal in the river last week. My mum and I followed it up and down a bit, but it was too dark to take photographs. I have some photos from last week on my camera phone to upload but so far I haven't been un-lazy enough to plug the bluetooth dongle into my PC. It's all of two feet away on the coffee table, but who cares? ;p

Saw Kung-Fu Panda yesterday. It was fun. The Kung-Fu bits were surprisingly awesome for being executed by a bunch of animated aminals. ^.^

*stirs tea thoughtfully with end of biro*

Ah, inky tea. An office staple...

bebbet - 11:29 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

I was pleasantly surprised by Kung Fu Panda, too... now to scrape some cash to go be pleasantly surprised by Wall-E...

Oh, and... *ahem* Smooth on in the inside, crunchy on the outside! Armadillos!

Twist - 11:47 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Arrrrmadillossssss! :D

I got into trouble from my mother once for stirring my tea with a butterknife. Like... in the past. She HEARD that I'd done it. She wasn't even there. There was no trial or anything. I was convicted straight away.

Rofl. I stir my tea with whatever's present - today it was a choice between biro, scissors, pencil or letter opener. Biro seemed... smoother. Didn't want to hurt the tea by poking it with a scissors / letter opener and didn't want woody carbon-graphite tasting tea either. ^.^

I missed Kung foo Panda in the theaters around here...
but I saw Wall-E twice ^_^

sarai - 02:08 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

kung fu panda was great.
wall-e, meh.

birdsnest - 02:20 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Nutter :P

We were going to see Wall-E again but the cinema was full of kids and we wanted a quiet showing, hehe.

WelshPixie - 02:25 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Wall-E is going to be on base this weekend, I won't be going, that will be full of annoying kids.

sarai - 02:31 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Kids are lame.

pd - 02:52 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

I hate the parents more than the kids. The kids are just being kids, y'know? And the irritating ones are only irritating because their parents haven't given them any guidance. For example - the 'kid who talks all the way through the movie'. If you can't explain to your kid that the cinema is a quiet place, don't take your kid to the god damn cinema! RAWR!!!

WelshPixie - 02:54 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

I don't stand for that. I throw things. I don't give a shit.

pd - 03:00 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Yeah, the state of parenting around here is god-awful. Young women who have as many kids as they can so they'll get as much benefit money as they can and not have to work - but resulting in too much for them to handle and kids who don't get disciplined.

WelshPixie - 03:28 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

What blows my mind is parents that give their kids a liter+ of caffeinated soda and some chocolate and then act all shocked with the little ankle-biters can't sit still or behave. Whatevs...

Eclectablog - 04:14 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

"Whatevs..."

Check you, all hip and with-it with the lingo ;)

WelshPixie - 04:27 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Yeah, me: a middle-aged hip dude. Riii-iight...

Eclectablog - 05:43 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

You're more hip than the hip people! ;oD

WelshPixie - 05:45 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

I bet he's got a red convertible sports car, too... :P

Twist - 05:45 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Nope:

(It is, however, a diesel, and I burn biodiesel made from soybean oil in it ;)

Eclectablog - 06:32 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Silverrrrrrrr! *hugs the shiny silver and purrs*

WelshPixie - 06:47 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

49 miles per gallon of pure schmexiness, my dear ;D

Eclectablog - 07:29 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

50 with a Pixie on the roof (it's the wings) ^.^

WelshPixie - 07:38 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

LOL!

Eclectablog - 08:00 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

:D

WelshPixie - 08:04 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

There were scads of armadillo roadakillo down in Oklahoma this past week, while I was there. No - I didn't kill any of them, just did drive-bys.

I can emphatically state that Mr. E is Very cool & hip, as well as quite a hawtie, to boot! If he were any hipper, he'd be a hip replacement for an old codger! ;)

BTW - if you MUST go to a cinema feature that is attended by scores of ankle-biters, DO take your tazer along. Makes the experience so much more exciting when you can taze some useless 'rent for lack of parenting skills! :p

LadyVisine - 08:47 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

TAZER! I knew I forgot something.

WelshPixie - 08:50 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

*blush*

(Note: when I blush, my entire bald head blushes. Pretty much looks my head's gonna eschplode.)

Eclectablog - 08:52 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Beetroot head :D

WelshPixie - 08:59 - Mon-4-Aug-2008

Maaan, everybody is seeing dolphins but me :(

I especially love the parents who bring their kids to work because "they are soooooo cute". Because why should we be able to work in peace! Hrmpf...

bitzky - 06:03 - Tue-5-Aug-2008

Luke=grumpy bachelor

LOL

Eclectablog - 06:04 - Tue-5-Aug-2008

Luke - perhaps you can be grateful none of the coworkers' spawn are yours. ;) LOL

Although, mini-Moomins would be soooo adorable. :)

LadyVisine - 07:22 - Wed-6-Aug-2008

Indeed LV! :D

And E, I find myself becoming one ;)
