Poetry Is Math

Posted in Pomes

This guy started the craze of Fib Poetry back in 2006, apparently;

http://gottabook.blogspot.com/2006/0...4/fib.html

I completely missed it.

But today, I found it.

"...a six line, 20 syllable poem with a syllable count by line of 1/1/2/3/5/8 – the classic Fibonacci sequence."

So, here's to Fibetry. Have a go.

Sleep
Came
In fits
And broken
Starts. my eyes burn, tired;
But here I am, writing poems.

There was a young girl from Rhondda...

bebbet - 16:39 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Two D's in Rhondda ;p

WelshPixie - 16:41 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Yeah? Well there's an 's' in Maths ;p

bebbet - 16:45 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Math is more correct than Maths, I'll have you know ;p

WelshPixie - 16:45 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Let's get y'all back to the three R's of edjicayshun:

Readin', Ritin' and Rithmetic!

rustybroomhandle - 16:47 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Okay, in this context, perhaps, but math is most commonly used as the American abbreviation of mathematics and is fundamentally wrong.

'Poetry is Mathematic' might have been more appropriate ;p

bebbet - 16:51 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

It's like people calling these things;

a ruler...

WelshPixie - 16:58 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Eeep, it says "Fight Freud" ... no no, surely that means they have issues with their father figure.

rustybroomhandle - 17:06 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Hahahahaha

WelshPixie - 17:07 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

Freud should be fought; man was nut-case!

bebbet - 19:38 - Sun-1-Feb-2009

they should totally make a bond movie or something with Freud as the villain. He can hold the world hostage with an arsenal of nuclear weapons that look suspiciously like giant cigars.
